A Charleston Charmer

Furniture placed and hanging light changed out.
Vintage yellow leather wing-back chairs, a cowhide rug and a vintage yin-yang cocktail table do the trick in this perfectly imperfect historic home in downtown Charleston, SC. A rattan light fixture, makes the space feel much more comfortable and less formal than the brass chandelier seen in the "before" photo below. The sofa from my client's (also my sister) :) previous home is a little big for the space, but we will change things out over time.  I think it looks beautiful filled with pieces she already owned.   #lovewhatyouhave  Beautiful spaces don't have to cost a fortune.

Art still needs to be hung but Rome wasn't built in a day.  Looking forward to heading to Charleston to visit my sister often and continue the evolution of her new, old home.  I love this giant pastel piece above the mantel, just need to work on hanging on plaster walls!

Pretty, rattan lights were a simple change that made a big difference!

Charm coming to the exterior soon! Picture it... window boxes with beautiful flowers and a french balcony opening onto the courtyard/ parking spot. :)

Inspiration from a garden around the corner.  Charleston is nothing, if not filled with inspiration!
